In March 2015, Start Fresh Today was acquired by Consumer Education Services, Inc. (CESI), a non-profit service provider of comprehensive personal financial education and solutions. CESI is EOUST-Approved to issue certificates in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code.

May 2015 Bankruptcy Filings Down: What This Means For Debtors

In a recent report by Epiq Systems on AACER 2015 bankruptcy filings, May 2015 bankruptcy filings were down by almost 20% since May 2014. In total, there were 69,286 bankruptcy filings by May 2015, down from May 2014's total of 85,711. In addition to the decline of May bankruptcy filings from the previous year, 2015 also saw a decline in filings between April and May, with April's total number of filings for the month equaling 77,884, with California, Illinois, and Florida being the top three states with the most cumulative filings between January and May 2015. But in filings per capita (based on population data from 2009), Tennessee and Alabama made the top of the list with over an average of 5 filings per day for every 10,000 people.
